You might say it began when Linda won the 2006 OSU/Mansfield Florence B. Allen writing competition, but even as a child, she was writing and illustrating stories for her mother. Since winning that contest at college, though--where the judges likened her work to that of Edgar Allan Poe, she's become an internationally published author. In addition to her novels, many of her short stories have appeared in anthologies.
She's a former member of
the Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA).

Linda studied to be a graphic artist and worked in the field of digital art and advertising before publishing her novels. She enjoys the design and development of typography and layout and producing her own covers as an independent author. She is passionate about drawing and digital rendering as well as painting on canvas.

Linda's piano lessons started at age six, that didn't last, but she started again at age eight. When she was sixteen, her father bought her an electric guitar. By the age of seventeen, she was playing lead in a hard rock cover band. Now, she composes dramatic orchestral music for her dark fantasy novels and produces those musical scores to digital formats and CD. Additionally, she has composed music for short films.
She is a member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers (AWFC) and of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) as both a songwriter and a publisher.

Linda has made her own fragrance blends for some time, and now she's finally sharing some of her scents inspired by both her fandoms and her characters and books, too!
