You might say it began when Linda won first place in the 2006 OSU/Mansfield Florence B. Allen writing competition. Since then, she's become an internationally published author. In addition to her novels, many of her short stories have appeared in anthologies. She's a member of the Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) and Broad Universe, a nonprofit international organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting the work of women writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
As a screenwriter, she is a member of the Ohio Chapter of Women in Film and Television (WIFT-OH).
Linda's piano lessons started at age 6. At age 16 her father bought her an electric guitar. By the age of 17 she was playing lead in a hard rock cover band. Now, she composes dramatic orchestral music for her dark fantasy novels and produces those musical scores to digital formats and Compact Disc. Additionally, she has composed music for short films. She is a member of the Alliance of Women Film Composers (AWFC) and of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) as both a songwriter and a publisher. LISTEN
Trained as a graphic artist, Linda worked in the field of digital art and advertising before publishing her novels. She enjoys the design and development of typography and layout and looks forward to producing her covers as an independent author. She is passionate about drawing, painting, and digital rendering, as well as interior design and occasionally upcycling furniture. For her home, she has created stencils, painted tromp l'oeil, and added raised stenciling.
