FEBRUARY 2020 I'm happy to report that after the writing halt happened because my mother fell ill and passed away last April, and the sadness that lingered through the holidays, I have bounced back and am hard at work again. I've reduced my convention attendance this year in favor of writer's retreats -- had a fantastic trip to Vermont for a retreat at the Trapp Family Lodge. So much work got done. More news soon! - Linda
An internationally published author, Linda won first place in the 2006 OSU/Mansfield Florence B. Allen writing competition and soon after earned a cum laude Associate of the Art’s Degree in English. She is a member of Broad Universe, a nonprofit international organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting the work of women writers of science fiction, fantasy and horror, and a member of SFWA, the Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers of America. In the media realm, she is a member of ISA, the International Screenwriters Association, and WIFT-OH, the Ohio Chapter of Women in Film and Television.
Linda began taking piano lessons at age 8. At 15 she got an electric guitar. At 17 she was playing lead in a hard rock cover band. Now, she composes dramatic orchestral music for her dark fantasy novels and produces those musical scores to digital formats and Compact Disc. Additionally, she has composed music for short films. Trained as a Graphic Artist, Linda worked in that field before publishing her novels, and looks forward to upcoming cover projects. She enjoys drawing, painting, and digital rendering, as well as interior design and upcycling furniture. For her own home, she created stencils, painted tromp l'oeil, and, after adding raised stenciling on some walls, painted to enhance the designs.
